Hello, I'm Ryan Niswonger

Recent builds

Here are some notable projects I've built recently. Most of my WordPress work involves developing themes and plugins. Recently I have been utilizing page-builder tools (Elementor, BeaverBuilder, Gutenberg) which allow my clients to more easily manage and extend the sites on their own and increase the speed we can iterate on new content.

I'm primarily a coder but for projects where design in needed, I have a number of quality web designers in my network that can help realize your project goals!

• Oregon Humane Society

built for and designed by Create Online

In 2022 I rebuilt this site for the forth time since 2007 and more recently have completed a number of project to extend the site's capabilities. I built the theme and have developed multiple plugins including a utility that syncs pet information from their shelter management service, several custom blocks for the WordPress block editor, a front-end React app, and back-end utilities for the management of adoption and fostering requests.

I led the development effort to rebuild this WordPress site which features a number of custom layouts and features. Since launch in 2021, I continue to support the site's evolving needs with new templates, design revisions, and SEO and performance optimizations.

• Vans Aircraft

built for and designed by Harmonic Northwest

This visually rich site provides marketing for Van's aircraft, some complex order forms, and searchable documentation for aircraft owners.

• Loupe: Ship in Six

built for and designed by Kinesis

This site's theme was converted from an existing custom WordPress theme to support a page-builder utility. I handled the conversion and created custom editor blocks to provide for the new landing page design. This new theme was then used on three other promotional Loupe sites.

• Landry Smith Architect

A simple looking site with a deceptive amount of complexity made to Landry's exacting specifications. In 2022 I completed a major rework of the site I originally built in 2013 which included an extensive overhaul of the project section user experience.

• Wacom Promotions

  built for Active Culture Studios

I built custom WordPress block-editor modules to provide refreshed design elements for this WordPress site that served landing pages for all of Wacom's US and international promotions. The site is no longer online.

• Renovation Innovations

The client approached me in 2020 with a website built in 2013 and which hadn't been updated since and now needed some content and security updates as well as layout improvements for small-screen devices. To keep costs down, I reimplemented the existing page design using a modern page-builder-enabled theme.
